Under the title "Reflections!", this successful alliance will once again present itself at the Real Estate Arena on June 5 and 6, 2024 with a joint stand designed by students of the Institute of Architecture at Leibniz University under the direction of Prof. Marieke Kums in a master's project and built in cooperation with students of the Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts in the course of Prof. Tatjana Sabljo: A stand that translates the motto "Reflections!" into several mirrored structures and offers space for talks, discussions and workshops.

The design is ready, the material has been ordered and construction can begin. The program also calls for input from young professionals - in lectures, presentations and discussions about the building of the future, about the responsibility of our profession for our built future: How do we want to live - in the countryside and in the city? How can the transformation of cities succeed? And how do we assess the construction and planning measures of the past from today's perspective...? The program is currently being developed and numerous experts have already confirmed their participation.

Architect and Chairwoman of the Bund Deutscher Baumeister, Dipl.-Ing. Susanne Witt, says: "The collaboration with the students was and is particularly valuable and impressive for me: They "burn" for the development of design and planning approaches for the future. Even during the preparations last year, which lasted several months, the sense of togetherness between the participating associations, organizations and universities grew. It was a constructive, open and dynamic exchange and we all used the stage here to demonstrate verbally and visually how important it is to rethink planning and construction. I hope that the Real Estate Arena 2024 will allow students to have their say even more, because their answers are clear, free and independent, and not smooth or shaped by dependencies or clients. This project should encourage them to denounce everything that is going wrong out loud and call for a rethink."

Robert Marlow, architect and President of the Architektenkammer Niedersachsen, is also convinced by the project: "For me, there are two main reasons why the Lower Saxony Chamber of Architects is once again represented with the "ressource.architektur" stand at the Real Estate Arena: Firstly, to develop a design build project internally together with the professional initiatives, the professional associations and the universities. Secondly, to show the flag and be present as a partner at Lower Saxony's real estate gathering with the entire profession in its breadth from young to old and from landscape, city to building."
