The Real Estate Arena in Hanover as a new trade fair and networking platform for the real estate industry is taking on more and more contours. "Commitments have been received from well-known companies for the event on May 26 and 27, 2021. Taking hygiene requirements into account, the Real Estate Arena will be the first event after the lock-down where the real estate industry will be able to meet again. Despite the Corona pandemic, the response to the new trade fair in Hannover has been very positive," said project manager Hartwig von Saß in Hannover on Wednesday.

The concept for the Real Estate Arena had been developed by the organizers Deutsche Messe AG and Real Estate Events GmbH in a co-creation process together with more than 35 companies, organizations and associations. "We want to give the B and C locations a special visibility in Hanover and discuss the industry's topics from their perspective, because the challenges are no less pressing. There is a great need for this in the market. The concept under the motto 'bold, controversial, close' is going down well," said von Saß.

Together with representatives of the industry, the topics of the congress on the two planned stages of the Real Estate Arena have now been determined. Well-known speakers on the main stage will discuss topics such as the future of city centers, the future of residential construction, the opportunities of digitalization, office real estate after the pandemic, sustainability in the real estate sector and the opportunities of the mobility turnaround.

The conference format will consist of three parts: There will be keynotes on the respective topics, controversial discussions and best-practice solutions to the respective problems. "We don't just want to reflect the current state of the discussion, every visitor should take away concrete solutions, ideas and impulses." The second stage is intended for pitches and short presentations by companies, architects and pioneering projects. The first speakers will be published early next year.

Numerous companies and organizations want to participate in the Real Estate Arena: Peper & Söhne, PfeiferINTERPLAN, Engel&Völkers, Gielissen, Boxhotel, Haus&Grund, Volkswagen Immobilien, AIT Real Estate, DW Systembau, Joyce Real Estate, Töllner&Flüge, Wirtschaftsförderung Brandenburg, Verbund Oldenburger Münsterland, ELPLAN, JadeWeserPort, Wirtschaftsförderung Deltaland, Zweckverband JadeWeserPark. Hannover as a real estate location will present itself at the Real Estate Arena with a joint stand, organized by the hannoverimpuls business development agency with private partner companies.

Architects will also support the Real Estate Arena. The Chamber of Architects of Lower Saxony and the BDA Hannover - Association of German Architects - will be cooperation partners and want to contribute extensively to the conference program. "The rethinking is social will, and as architects, urban planners, citizens we are in the duty to make our contribution in the dialogue with politics, administration and business for the development of climate-friendly, sustainable concepts," said the chairwoman of the board of BDA Hannover, Dilek Ruf.

Alexander Gallrein, Head of Marketing, Communications at Wirtschaftsförderung Brandenburg (WFBB) said, "We see the Real Estate Arena as an exciting platform for presenting Brandenburg as a business location. Especially for investor acquisition, we expect exciting impulses from the fair and look forward to participating."

Gregor Baum, Managing Director of Baum Unternehmensgruppe Hannover, says: "The real estate industry already had numerous topics before Corona - now many have been added. It's time to get back into the conversation. The Real Estate Arena will be a very good fresh platform for this."

The Association of the Housing and Real Estate Industry of Lower Saxony and Bremen, the Federal Association of the Private Real Estate Industry of Lower Saxony Bremen and the Association of Towns and Municipalities will also participate in the Real Estate Arena.

A total of around 100 companies are expected to participate in the premiere of the Real Estate Arena as sponsors and exhibitors. Up to 3,000 visitors are expected, depending on the specific conditions. The exhibiting companies can invite their own business contacts to the Real Estate Arena via free trade visitor tickets. Visitor tickets cost 199 euros.
