A brilliant and thoroughly successful premiere: the German real estate industry received the Real Estate Arena as a new nationwide industry platform with great enthusiasm. On the two days of the fair, 3000 participants came to Hannover and visited the stands of almost 200 exhibitors. "The extraordinarily positive reactions from exhibitors and visitors show that the concept of the Real Estate Arena has been convincing from the very beginning," said project manager Hartwig von Saß in Hanover. More than 50 companies have already made written reservations for their appearance at next year's Real Estate Arena.

"Young, innovative and diverse," write "Women in the Real Estate Industry" on LinkedIn, for example. "We were also thrilled by the atmosphere and the diverse discussion rounds (...) For us, a very successful start to the fair." "What a sensational start!" writes the regional chairwoman of the BDA, Dilek Ruf on her LinkedIn profile. Michael Aechtler, Head of Creators at Drees & Sommer, assesses: "For us it was a celebration. (...) We will definitely be back." Hrachya Matinyan from Deutsche Reihenhaus AG (Cologne) commented on LinkedIn: "The new trade fair format (...) was a complete success!"

Federal Minister of Construction Klara Geywitz was impressed during her tour of the fair and visited, among other things, the House of the Future of the GdW (Federal Association of German Housing and Real Estate Companies), the start-ups from the blackprint network, the Real Estate Juniors and the Stadtretter network. For Deutsche Messe, it was the first major event after the Corona lockdown. Employees welcomed the first visitors with la-la waves.

Top political representatives came from all over Germany: In addition to Minister of Construction Geywitz, state ministers, mayors and district councillors from many cities and municipalities came to discuss with the company from the real estate sector and talk about concrete projects. For example, from the Bavarian district of Wunsiedel, the Lower Rhine region, Rostock, Bremen, Osnabrück, Hameln as well as from the metropolitan region of Hanover, Braunschweig, Göttingen, Wolfsburg. Right from the start, the Real Estate Arena has also established itself as an economic policy platform in northern Germany to learn from each other and discuss best cases for the cities, municipalities and districts of the future.

At its premiere, the Real Estate Arena focused on B and C cities and the medium-sized real estate sector. Six topics were on the agenda on the stage in the arena: housing, sustainability, new work, the future of city centres, digitalisation and mobility. In the boxing ring in the Speakers Corner, companies and start-ups pitched their business models and projects.

The next Real Estate Arena will be held in Hannover on 24 and 25 May 2023. The concept was developed in a co-creation process with representatives from the real estate sector. The event was organised together with Real Estate Events GmbH.
